Overview
Supertrain - Atomic-powered steam turbine locomotive, built by Trans-Allied Corporation that made the rail run from New York City to Los Angeles in 36-hours. This was Hollywood's look into the future in 1979.
I know it would never happen in real life but someone out there wants to model this. Someone with a lot of room and money.
Unfortunately, I assume all of the props and miniatures have been destroyed. They included a full scale two-story car 64-feet long, 26-feet wide and 22-feet high, a mid-sized version built at 1 and 1/2 inches to the foot, and a baby Supertrain at 3/4-inch scale, and 3000 foot track for miniature scale train running.
To put things into perspective, 90 seconds of Sunday's Super Bowl commercials would have paid for all of the props.
