My train life began over 50 years ago when my grandpa bought me a Lionel train set for my first Christmas. Since then it has been a complete fascination with these wheeled devices. From laying on my stomach watching them go around the Christmas tree to full blown layouts.

I model in G scale as well as HO. I got my start in G scale 10 years ago when I inherited my fathers LGB Mallet and some cars. Since then I have been adding on a little at a time. Now that I have a real backyard I will be able to put in a permanent Garden Railroad (It's sad having to tear up every time you move).
My first career was 18 years working on various "Area 51" type projects for Lockheed and Northrop. How secret? If I told you I would have to kill myself.
My second career was spending the last 15 years as a Paramedic for Kern County EMS. We moved to Washington to be closer to family and I was tired of seeing what no one should see.
I hope to bring my slightly off center sense of humor, as well as my train and life experiences to help you build a better Garden Railroad. I can't be offended, so please post your comments.
How do you do it? |
Peter, I have finally discovered how to take videos with my Canon Power Shot A620 digital camera and have successfully made videos of trips around my Arlington and Little Falls Railroad. I’d love to share those videos, unfortunately, they are HUGE files (~350 Mb for 1minute and 15second film in AVI format). How do LSOL-ers get their videos onto LSOL or YouTube? Thank you, Geoff Geoffrey D.
