In 1886 Lartigue brought a length of his line to an exhibition in London. The people of North Kerry were looking for a railroad.
The Listowel-Ballybunion Railway was opened in 1888 and it ran for 36 years until it was closed in 1924. A engineering masterpiece and one big headlamp. |
