Overview

Thought we would stay in Australia for the last one.

According to the video, trains like this pass every 15 minutes. I started to count the number of cars but I got dizzy and DFO'd (Done Fell Out).

So if all of your chores are done and you have no homework, give it a try.

I wonder how many different numbers we will get.
Put a pillow next to your chair so you don't bump your head in case you DFO.

That's One Long Coal Train
I found this video very interesting. Locomotives running under wire. Also, for a train of this size and tonnage the power added mid-way in the consist was of interest. Reminded me of the sulfur trains I use to see running west through Ft. Hood, TX many years ago. The Sante Fe used mid train power on these heavy consists.

Train Count
I counted three locomotives up front, 60 hoppers, two mid train locomotives one special flat and 61 more hoppers.

Eye Check
Rick- I missed the flat car. need to go back and watch.JD - I lived in Tehachapi for 15 years and it was funny to see how much power Santa Fe would use and how little SP would use. SF would have 5 up front, a couple in the middle and 2 in the back. SP would run 2 and 1 in the back, just as many cars, just not in a hurry.

Train Count
Yup Rick is right on with his count. I need to get a life.
