Overview
At one time in Hawaii, there were over 40 privately owned sugar cane railways in the Hawaiian Islands and now only two remain in frequent use. The Hawaiian Railway Society in Oahu and the Kaanapali & Pacific Railroad, in Lahaina.
This video is of the K&PR, Sugar Train. It is well done and if you watch in HD mode, it is really beautiful. 6 mile of track and a curved 325 foot wooden trestle are just part of the ride.

What a joy to see this train running. The engine is beautiful. sort of wobbly on the start from the track no doubt, but thats all right only adds to the fun. what a trestle. Thank you to whoever!

Maui Sugar Train
What a great video. I agree that the trestle is very interesting. Now it would seem since the rolling stock looks good, and the engine looks great and the buildings and structures look superb its time to do some track work...everywhere!

Sugar Cane Trains
Great videos. Reminds me of my working days when we supplied refractories to all kinds of industries around the world. One application was the bagasse boilers on the narrow gage sugar train locomotives in Hawaii, the Phillipines and Australia. They laid the rail sections directly on the ground in the cane fields. It was a tough job, but somebody had to do it!
