Overview
The only difference between this video and the other two is everyone gets to ride the engine at once. The excitement and smiles are all there. A lot of hard work went into restoring the former Staten Island Rapid transit Alco S1 locomotive #407. It was headed for the scrap yard before being rescued.
The Catskill Mountain Railroad Scenic Train is a 12 mile round trip between Phoenicia and Cold Brook station (Boiceville). The Scenic Train is just one part of a long-term plan to re-open the length of the railroad from Kingston to Phonecia.
