Overview
A big and popular show, it's not without drama. The exhibitions manager, Dave Baker who will be 80 in a few months, stepped down. Atlantic Publishers, who publish "Garden Rail", have stopped their involvement in the running of the show.
At the Ontario Show the local fire types wouldn't allow some exhibits to run their "Smoke" generators. The same problems exist half way around the world. Quoting Atlantic Publishers, "intrusive rules and regulations being imposed by the local authority's interpretation of various 'Health and Safety' matters" caused them to back out.
The good news for this show is the Llanfair Garden Railway Show will continue and will be managed by a team headed up by Steve Warrington.
