I'm sure it's very reliable,
but what if? It's a long way down.

OverviewA sleeker look is achieved on this railway by using metal for the hangers. You get to see all of the trackwork and a lot more train than you do using traditional wood. But with the vaulted ceiling all I think of is "It's a long way down".

Maybe this will give you an idea for your trains.

'Long ways down
I like the safety rails here. There is a restaurant near us which has a large G scale ceiling layout which uses thin cable for the same purpose. There is also a 15' stretch which crosses the middle of the room. It passes muster with the buildings lease owner (a large mall), city, county and state inspectors (it runs over the tables) and the Insurance company and has been in place for years!

We had a ceiling layout in our house which burned down, it took a couple of years to get the go ahead for construction, but once in place, with a Accucraft PRR K4s and Aristo Craft PRR heavyweights, and the lights off, as they say "No Problem". As a matter of fact, I've been directed by the Super of the IGTI RR: "We WILL have the train back" in our new house which is a replacement for the one that burned down a couple of years ago.
