Overview
The Joys of Life Railway and other attractions around the complex (including a 16mm scale Garden Railway), were part of a commercial venture by Terry & Val Robinson, and was open from the early 1980s, to around 1999.
Early 2007, William High had an interest in helping to revive the railway, one thing developed into another, and before long a re-ballasting program was in progress.
By far the worst thing to have happened during the period of the railway's closure is the ballast's decline in its ability to drain water.
The railway operates on certain informal running or open days held throughout the year in-between revival work.
