Realstic Setting
What makes this layout appealing is the overall spacing of the structures, which seem to really be a part rather than props and the mostly smooth track work.

Central Iowa GRS Layout
Very nice integration of the layout with the yard. The structures are superb. I would love to know more about the origins and construction of this railroad as well as the background for the railroad structures. It looks like they are following some prototype.
