"Attention to Detail", "Craftsmanship", "Exactness". These are just a few adjectives to describe this English Gauge 1 Railroad. I'm sure you will come up with some of your own.

OverviewIn Garden Railroading there is the "10 Foot Rule". At times I use the "Pitch Black, Moonless Night Rule" on my layout. If I had to guess, the indoor portion of this English layout uses the 12 millimeter rule (1/2 inch).

You can really appreciate the detail when you watch the train running portion of the video. At the 11:30 mark, you will see small tufts of grass growing between the rails. This detail is carried out through the entire layout.

The first half of this 19 minute video is a detailed tour of the indoor portion of this English railroad. The running of the trains makes up the second half.

This is quite a RR. Tremendous detail. So many people too.

Peter, you're always coming up with such great features.

English Gauge 1
Amazing! And nearly all scratch built--he puts the "modeling" back into model railroading.

I'm thinking, with all the interest of the younger set in Thomas the Tank, and now the Bachmann models, it would be nice to see more features on English railroads. Their shorter cars would work better on our tight curves too.

Great Ry
This railroad shows why I chose to model indoors where you can add a lot more detail. This one is excellent.
