Overview | Do you like to occasionally sit "near" a railroad track and watch the trains go by? My grandson and I do. Others want to tempt fate. I share this article mainly because of the comments from the readers. As a Paramedic I saw my share of accidents and suicides by train, so I think I have a hardened, simplistic outlook on the subject, "stay off the tracks". After reading the article, read the comments. I found that my simplistic opinion was shared by others. |

Train deaths |
Some times train deaths are accidental. Most can be traced to stupidity and yes, some are intentional. What we do not need is the government sticking their pinheads into the situation. Trains are big, fast, unable to swerve around you and hard to stop. it is up to you and or your parents (if you happen to be a kid) to be aware of the danger they present. Remember to stop, look and listen before crossing tracks - or - busy roads. |
