Rail aficionados might argue here that this is not the real, true Orient Express. But, there is plenty of the "authentic" aboard this new version of the Orient Express

| Overview | The 21st century has not seeped in here. There is no flat-screen TV spooling 24-hour news, no wifi internet access - just that gentle clackety-clacking noise that only trains of a particular vintage seem to make as they trundle on their way.

The fabled luxury train was saved by entrepreneur and rail enthusiast, James B. Sherwood. In 1977 he bought two of the train's carriages at a Sotheby's auction in Monte Carlo.
The next few years and $16 million were spent locating, purchasing and restoring some 35 vintage carriages.Link to Orient Express Website |
