Would you do this?

This may seem silly to the uninitiated but I'm sure we can all agree it's a great idea.
If you don't live in the state of Washington you may have seen this commercial. Deep down I wish I could do this. I'll never win the lottery because apparently you have to play to win.
That doesn't seem fair. Enjoy the video.

It played here in TN so I suspect it played in many states under different names.

Jim's Trains
Well, I don't know about anyone else but if you win the lottery and take care of all the thing you want to then it seems to me that was a worth while project. I mean, come on, how more elegant a way to retrieve your mail than by an engine and a high load mail box.
Works for me!

Jim's Train mail box
I could not stop laughing when I first saw it [lots of envy] but now I wonder if the mailman (or woman) would have to carry a STEPLADDER to put the mail in the box!!! I would love to see that!!!

I've been accused of hiding a "Caboose" in my back yard, but that would be incredible...I'd go for it, how fun to have an engine collect your mail, but more fun to see "where it comes from", looks like it is coming out of his house or garage... WILD!

P.S.
BTW his layout looks darn cute too..

lottery train
Hey - if ya win it- ya deserve to live life to the fullest .. I play very occasionally but never win ... not even a couple of numbers ...Just not lucky that way.... But Jim seems to have the charm so go for it .... I dont know if I could get our town to ALLOW me to put a set of real tracks in the main street but I am sure that IF I won enough, they could be "convinced" to make the exception.
( Gee, is that a BRIBE ??? ) ha ha ha . Jim has the right idea ..... and yes, Elaine, the basement train is nice too.....

Fetching the mail
One step further would be to have an RPO car snag the mail from a pouch that the mailman could hang on the post... ;-)
