Overview
The backyard of Sheegog's home is actually, a Disney re-creation. Castle Peak and Thunder Railroad is the name of his Disney-themed railroad garden. A nearly 1,400 square foot utopia encompassing five theme lands.
"It's Disney-themed, no piece of it is exactly from Disneyland, but little elements are. Believe it or not, people who build these things as if they are actually a working railroad," he said.
It starts from a jungle theme adventure land, where Indiana Jones and the Incredibles deck out in front of the Temple of Doom. Then, it's to Frontier Land, where the animal kingdom look upon Simba's birth. And there's a last stop to fantasy land, where Disney princesses greet you at Sleeping Beauty's Castle.
How Neat this set-up is... Wow! Of course it helps that He is an architect, but still, Disney re-creations are especially appealing to CA and FL railroaders.. Great fun and so much fun to see.
Thanks for sharing Peter... Elaine

Mini Disney Backyard
This is an amazing RR. It was also the featured rairoad a few years back in GR. The features, espceially the fake rock are quite impressive.

I agree with you Peter, this is a layout of wonderful vision and un-believeable talents. And a fantastic tribute to Disney...
Great G-gauge display that all of us would be proud to have on our own layouts...
P.S. I added Disney on a very small level to my 10-year railroad stint and the people LOVED IT.. Even scale of the Monorail was not a deterent...
