Towson, MD - The year marks the 25th for the holiday train garden, which stretches
in the center of the first floor of the mall for more than 60 feet and
features more than 200 feet of track with five trains running
simultaneously, including commuter and freight trains and passenger
sets.
With nine bridges, more than 150 animations, a circus carnival, an interactive car wash, a coal mining operation, spooky Halloween village, Thomas the Tank, the Ravens, Orioles, Harry Potter, Cat in the
Hat, Spiderman, Mickey Mouse, the Grinch, Scrooge, Santa and more the
display has become a traditional holiday stop for thousands of visitors
annually. This year, the train garden will be on display through Jan.
10.
Santa, accompanied by his
elves at the Santa Experience on the second floor of the mall, were also
on hand to listen to the gift wish lists of dozens of boys and girls,
as he will continue to do in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
And, as there has been in the last few weeks, there will be one more
chance on Dec. 10 for owners to bring their dogs and cats to sit on
Santa's lap for a portrait. Breakfast with Santa takes place Dec. 7, 14
and 21 and there will be a Night of Smart Shopping on Dec. 5, from 6 to
9:30 p.m.
