Every year since 1996 from Thanksgiving through New Years, a large gallery space in the old terminal has been alive with model trains from Z Scale through G Scale and beyond. Holiday Junction has become a Cincinnati tradition in this magnificent and historic building, bringing smiles and happiness to children of all ages. And the S Gauge Royal Blue, posing as the Cincinnatian, dutifully circles a huge layout filled with S and O Gauge scenery and trains. You will find static displays of some of the first model trains produced by Carlisle and Finch, Ives, American Flyer and Lionel in pre-war Standard and O Gauge. There are six dioramas depicting actual post-war Lionel sets as illustrated in the catalog double page spreads from the 1950's, an operating reproduction of a 1959 Lionel Dealer's layout, one small and one huge G Scale layout, a European Z Scale layout, a two-rail riding train for children; and, of course, Santa Claus.
