Garden Train in India Park

On the other side of the world, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has placed trains in a few gardens in the city. One of these is the Rajarshi Shahu Garden.

| Overview | The toy train, named 'Shahurani' and a green patch are a welcome sight as one enters the garden. The garden has a jogging track as well as a recreational area for children. The garden also has a beautiful play area with swings, slides and toys. According to Suresh Salunkhe, garden superintendent of the PCMC, the toy train was set up in 2005, four years after the inauguration of the garden. "This is the element that attracts children to the garden," he said. |
