I just finished watching a show on the 1939 New York World's Fair. I stumbled across this picture which is a great example of the show.

OverviewAs well as people, locomotives played a part in the pageant. The locomotives would move on and off the stage as the production played out. This would have been a play I wouldn't have to be dragged to.

It almost looks like dream sequence.

World's Fair Movie
GREAT FIND Peter!

The movie/video was truly amazing. . . in color no doubt. I had seen several photos of the historical reproductions done for the 1939 World's Fair but never realized a movie of them in action existed.

As a steamer any historical material on the great steam era is a treasure to me.
