Overview

Mattel already produces many HIT products under license.

"HIT entertainment owns some of the most loved and trusted preschool brands in the world and under Mattel's leadership, I look forward to seeing them grow," said Jeffrey D. Dunn, the president and chief executive of HIT.

Thomas
So, When Mattel obtains the rights to Thomas, will Bachmann still produce the Thomas sets in large scale? If not, maybe we should buy a few sets and squirrel them away for when they are no longer available. I wonder how good a Fisher-Price large scale train would be.

Just wondering, I am sure Bachmann's contract to produce the Thomas line will be in place for a long time. Bachmann wouldn't have invested the money in making the molds and tooling, unless they knew they would see a profit.
