Author  Bio Marklin will be closing its Waukesha, WI office the end of July.

It was a little over a year ago that Marklin Inc. announced the appointment of Ron Gibson to the new position of LGB Brand Manager. Unfortunately it appears that Ron and his staff will be no longer be with Marklin as of June 30th. Marklin will be closing its Waukesha, WI office at the end of July.

There have been rumors about this change. Information we received directly from Ron confirms this sad news. We wish Ron and his staff the best. You can post comments here and on other sites to show your support for the work Ron has done.

So where do we get warranty service on LGB/Marklin locos and rolling stock in the future?

Sad news

I hate to hear about anyone loosing their job, especially in this economy. But in this economy, companies are trying to save money by doing more with less, or by doing less. My sympathies to everyone at the Waukesha, WI office. Dave, since Walther's is the new North American supplier of LGB and Marklin, then I would contact them if you have need for service and repair. TrainLi has parts for LGB, but I don't think they do service themselves.

Train-Li DOES do repairs on LGB trains-- I just had work done ... I hope THAT rumor does not get spread around .... Axel, Joane and Dan are the ones I have met and dealt with and are terrific people. I would hope to nip this thought in the " bud". Train-Li DOES repairs themselves .....and very good work .. carl Kokes

Warranty Service

The initial question was about getting warranty service done on the LGB Marklin products. Where now? As forthe US office. I have spoken with a number of people there in ordering the special DaVinci LGB car and some questions about the LGB Club membership and everyone was great to deal with. Thank you! Wishing you all the best and hope things work out for you in any new ventures you find.
