Signatures can appear at the bottom of your posts if you set it up in your profile. As to why, it is because in my 50 plus years of model railroading, I have seen too much time and effort wasted by people finding minor faults that don't go with their way of thinking rather than accepting what a person has done and enjoying the hobby.
