Lewis Polk, the head of Aristo-Craft Trains in New Jersey, says the trains have a way of transforming outdoor spaces. "You landscape around them for reality.You make the landscape look like a scenic area of railroading. ...You bring life to your garden," says Polk, who expects the weekend show to attract about 2,000 people. "Most people run trains indoors in their basement, and nobody ever gets to see them in the smaller sizes.But these big trains you can put outside and it becomes something that all your neighbors are involved with," Polk says.
