I learn here is great, and I like to share my knowledge with others.

I have been in the HVAC industry since 1961, doing repair for 27 years and now in sales and system design. I also studied electronics for several years, and am blessed to be very mechanically inclined, as I love to tinker.

About 1985, my wife and I came across an entire shopping mall with large-scale trains through out. I was hooked!

My wife and I put in a small pond, and it was not too long before I had a track around it, which was a dream of mine, to have an outdoor railway.

I really love LSOL; it is my home page. What I learn here is great, and I like to share my knowledge with others. I named my railroad JFF & NSI, and it is self-explanatory. "Just for Fun and No Scale Intended"

John, I thouroghly enjoyed your article. I've always wanted a rotory snow plow too. I'm gathering the necessary parts as we speak. I have a B'man full baggage car that I will be using. I was thinking of using an 18 volt cordless drill with a keyless chuck. I've already canabilized a VCR for the shaft and bearings. Do you think I would be able to run the drill off track power vice battery? I also run track power with the TE controlling the motive power. I'm just like Jon Miller, I'm amazed when I turn on a light switch and don't get shocked. Electricity/Electronics are not my bag! Any advice you could offer in that regard would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and again, Great article! Thanks so much.
