My first electric train was given to me at Christmas in 1945, and I have had trains ever since. Lionel, HO. Back to Lionel and then into garden railroading in 1993. The first Rose Hill and Northern was on a terrace backyard in Southern Indiana where we had a 35 foot tunnel and various deck levels which allowed viewing from many elevations.
We retired and sold the Indiana home in 1999 and spent 4 years touring the US, Canada and Mexico in our motor home. In 2002 we purchased a home in Florida. We prefer mainline type railroading and our motive power and rolling stock is Aristo and USA with a couple of Bachman hopper cars thrown in. We use track power and battery power and control everything with Aristo TE.
My wife Mary does the scenery and landscaping and we both belong to the Tampa Bay Div of the FGRS. With great ideas from that fine group the Rose Hill and Northern is under development, in a new location.
