Chipmunk Falls Rairoad -- Where Chipmunks Ride for free.

Barbara Nichols of Blue Hill, Maine operates the Chipmunk Falls Rairoad where Chipmunks Ride for free.

My first love of trains came about when I was a little kid back in Natick, Massachusetts in the mid fifties.

Passenger trains went through town on their way to Boston. Now I live in Blue Hill, Maine. Model trains were considered only for boys when I was a kid, so I never had one. I do now!

I have a double dog bone layout on a deck built specifically for my town of Chipmunk Falls. All of the buildings are completely scratch built. I have raided the culled lumber from Home Depot, and milled my own mini lumber as needed.

My friend, who I share all this with, have a few cats that find the HO trains we have overhead in the living room very entertaining. I have a shop dog named Fred, who is always more than willing to keep me company at the train deck or out in the shop.

Chipmunk Falls is named for a place in New Hampshire, where I always felt at ease. Also, the chipmunks of my yard are delighted with the acorns that fall from the two towering oaks that shade all of Chipmunk Falls.
