There are no tickets to buy, or reservations to make. We all show up at the restaurant and have fellowship and fun.  Our first banquet had 8 people, and over the last several years has grown big time.

How does it work?

There are no tickets to buy, or reservations to make. We all show up at the restaurant and have fellowship and fun. Our first banquet had 8 people, and over the last several years has grown big time. Keep in mind that the room holds about 75 people. Get there early or you may not fit into the room. I know that last year Jon and I had to eat standing up.

When and Where is the Banquet?

When: Thursday March 27, 2008 at 6:30pm in York, PA before the start of the 2008 East Coast Large Scale Train Show.

Where: Hoss's Family Steak & Sea
2175 White Street York, PA 17404 (717) 854-2966
Route 30 West of York, in Carlisle Commerce Center
Web Site  -   Click here for a map to this location.

What do you do at the Banquet?
This year we will have long and boring speeches from all sides of the scale and gauge issue. Followed quickly by a long and drawn out discussion about the advantages of battery power over track power. We also will have a slide presentation of the over 300 different types of moss and thyme you can use as plants on your garden railroad. Not! We just have fun, door prizes and good food.

Who can attend?

Any LSOL.com member or friend of LSOL.com is welcome to attend. LSOL.com members are welcome to bring a guest.

What should you do?

Tell us you are coming: If you want, and it is not required, send us an email to and let us know if you are coming. Let us know how many and if you are bringing any guests. This does not guarantee you a place at the banquet, but does give us an idea how many people are coming.

Get there early: There are about 75 seats and when they are taken, they are taken. If you arrive late or even if you arrive on time at 6:30pm, the room could be full. There are a few tables right outside the room that could be available.

Paying for the dinner: When you arrive at the restaurant tell them you are with the LSOL.com Banquet. They can direct you to the banquet room. It is in the back to the left as you enter the restaurant. They will have servers for us and you can order anything you want on the menu. Keep in mind you are paying not me.

You got to be there
The LSOL banquet is not to be missed. Some of the most fun to be had happens at the banquet. It also gives you a little time while away from the show to meet and chat with the great members here at LSOL. The food ain't bad either.

LSOL.com Banquet
I agree with Joe. Be sure to show up for the banquet. The food is good and the fun is even better. We had a full house last year and it is a great way to spend some time with some really nice people. See you there.
