The 2013 LSOL.com banquet at the Spring ECLSTS is going to happen again this year. There will be door prizes, good food, a hat contest and some special guests. So make sure you read all about it and arrive early as seating is limited.

How does it work?
There are no tickets to buy, or reservations to make. We all show up at the restaurant and have fellowship and fun. Our first banquet had 8 people, and over the last several years it has grown big time. Keep in mind that the room holds about 75 people. Get there early or you may not fit into the room.
When and Where is the Banquet?
When:Thursday March 21, 2013 at 5:35pm in York, PA before the start of the 2013 East Coast Large Scale Train Show.

What do you do at the Banquet?
This year we will have long and boring speeches from all sides of the scale and gauge issue. Followed quickly by a long and drawn out discussion about the advantages of battery power over track power. We also will have a slide presentation of the over 300 different types of moss and thyme you can use as plants on your garden railroad. Not! We just have fun, door prizes and good food. This year we might even have a few interesting guests drop by and we are going to have our Hat Contest. LSOL Sixth Annual ECLSTS Dinner Hat Contest.
Some type of awards, don't expect much, will be given to the winners of the contest. The hat contest has come about due to some of our members showing up for the dinner wearing hats that to say the least were beyond description.  
 
 
   
So, for those so inclined bring and wear a hat that you think just might be a winner and for those members that are head hair challenged some type of head covering is encouraged. Put your thinking caps on and come up with a winner. The contest should be fun and good for a few additional laughs at this grand affair.
 Who can attend?
Any LSOL.com member or friend of LSOL.com is welcome to attend. LSOL.com members are welcome to bring a guest.  What should you do?
Tell us you are coming: If you want, and it is not required and let us know if you are coming. Let us know how many and if you are bringing any guests. This does not guarantee you a place at the banquet, but does give us an idea of how many people are coming. Get there early: There are about 75 seats and when they are taken, they are taken. If you arrive late or even if you arrive on time at 5:35pm, the room could be full. There are a few tables right outside the room that could be available. Paying for the dinner: When you arrive at the restaurant tell them you are with the LSOL.com Banquet. They can direct you to the banquet room. It is in the back to the left as you enter the restaurant. They will have servers for us and you can order anything you want on the menu.
